The year is 1976
My adventurous mom packed us up and moved our little family to an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean—and everything changed.
Muddy snow turned into beach sand.
Casual get-togethers became full on luaus.
Boring food turned into ono grindz that broke da mouth!
And somehow, our small family became one huge ʻohana.
That’s the Hawaiian way.
Everyone is family. Everyone eats good. And everyone deserves to live a little slower, a little fuller, and with a whole lot more joy.
Growing up in Hawaii meant barefoot days, salty air, golden sunsets, and learning that the best moments in life happen when people come together. Every once in a while you’d see a classic VW Bus driving along the beach. (back then you could park right on the actual beach!) Loaded with surfboards, filled with friends, coolers, laughter, and stories. They brought people together. That’s what stuck with me. I always told myself, one day.
Decades later, that dream finally became real.
Today, that same bus is more than just a vehicle. She’s a backdrop for memories, a gathering place, and a way to share that ʻohana spirit with others. Whether it’s a photo shoot, a wedding, or a private party, Aloha Dreams is about creating moments that feel warm, effortless, and unforgettable—just like life in Hawaii taught us.
